Funding for public schools varies from state to state and the level of funding within a state can vary from district to district. It can be a complicated topic, even for those within public education. My goal is to provide clarity on the topic of public school finance in Michigan as well as the financial position of Saline Area Schools.

I have worked with Saline Area Schools for over 18 years and became the Assistant Superintendent of Finance in 2012, after serving as Interim Finance Director for one year. I have a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor and I received Chief Financial Officer certification from the Michigan School Business Officials Association.
My husband and I raised our three children in Saline and all graduated from Saline Area Schools.
